MSc Performance Analysis and Talent Management

Designed for aspiring performance analysts, scouts and talent managers, UCLan's MSc Performance Analysis and Talent Management equips students with the knowledge and practical skills to operate across professional sport environments. Core modules cover applied performance analysis, contemporary talent management, leadership and culture, and an independent research project. Graduates have gone on to roles including performance analyst, recruitment analyst and chief scout at clubs such as Preston North End, Bradford City and Heart of Midlothian.

The programme is delivered in-person on the UCLan campus in Lancashire, with students attending one day per week over one year, allowing study to be balanced alongside employment. Additional online support and one-to-one mentoring complement campus sessions, and students work with industry-standard tools including Hudl, SportsCode Elite and Wyscout. Course content is aligned with ISPAS Performance Analyst Standards, and students are supported in building a portfolio toward ISPAS accreditation. The programme is delivered by a team of active researchers in performance analysis, coaching and talent development.
