Sports Rehabilitation BSC (Hons)

Liverpool Hope University's Sport Rehabilitation BSc (Hons) prepares students to assess, manage, and rehabilitate injuries across a wide range of populations, from recreational participants to elite athletes. The curriculum covers clinical musculoskeletal anatomy, injury diagnosis, manual therapy, exercise prescription, biomechanics, sport psychology, and health promotion. Practical sessions take place in dedicated clinical rooms, a strength and conditioning suite, a biomechanics facility, and an exercise physiology lab, with additional fieldwork at the University's Snowdonia Field Centre.

The degree is delivered on-campus at Hope Park, Liverpool, over three years full time, combining lectures with small-group seminars and practical sessions. Students complete a minimum of 400 supervised clinical placement hours with partners that have included Liverpool FC Women's, Everton FC Academy, and St Helens RLFC. The programme is accredited by the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators (BASRaT), and graduates who meet additional requirements — including a registration exam and a Pre-Hospital Trauma Care qualification — are eligible to apply for Graduate Sport Rehabilitator (GSR) status. Teaching is delivered by registered Graduate Sport Rehabilitators, Sports Physiotherapists, and active researchers.
