Golpath Institute

Golpath Institute is the education arm of Berlin Sports, the international sports agency founded in 2012 that has worked with more than 1,100 football clubs across 100+ countries. Born from first-hand knowledge of how hard it is to get a foot in the door of the sports industry, Golpath runs short, intensive programmes built for anyone who wants real experience in sport rather than classroom theory.

Each programme runs over a few intensive days in Lisbon, combining sessions with industry professionals, visits to clubs and sports organisations, a deliberately small intake and social activities designed to build a genuine network. Past speakers — more than 30 across previous editions, from 20+ countries — include Berlin Sports founder Dr. Georg Froese, Berlin Sports Law founding partner Jan Schweele, CAS arbitrator Prof. Dr. Martin Schimke, Soccerex co-owner Hugo Varela, former Portugal international Dani Carvalho and senior staff from SL Benfica.

Current programmes cover becoming a football agent, becoming a sports lawyer and stepping into the sports industry. All are taught in English (B2 minimum), open to anyone aged 18+, require no prior industry experience, and finish with a certificate of participation.
