Advanced Certificate in 1st Team Player Care

Designed for professionals already working in 1st Team Player Care roles, the Advanced Certificate in 1st Team Player Care challenges and develops those with at least two years of experience in the field — or graduates of The Player Care Group's foundational Certificate in Player Care. Across eight thematic sessions, the programme covers recruitment and onboarding, player development, crisis management, family engagement, department management, supplier vetting, academy integration, and welfare delivery, with an emphasis on building a personal Player Care philosophy grounded in practical, real-world application.

The course is delivered entirely online via live Zoom sessions, each two hours long, totalling 16 hours of contact time plus six self-paced modules and a final project. The eight-week programme is taught by Hugo Scheckter, Elle Cooper, and Jon Wolf — experienced practitioners from Premier League clubs and the NBA. Participants who complete the course earn the Advanced Certificate in 1st Team Player Care. The course is developed and delivered by The Player Care Group.
