BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy

Bournemouth University's BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy equips students with the knowledge and practical skills to prevent and rehabilitate sports injuries across all levels of athletic performance. The course blends theoretical study with hands-on learning, covering areas such as sport and remedial massage, musculoskeletal interventions, injury prevention programmes, and immediate care in competitive and clinical environments. Delivered full-time on campus at Bournemouth, the course runs for three years, or four years with an optional minimum 30-week placement. Students gain clinical experience at the university's own Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic and through external placements. The course is accredited by the Society of Sports Therapists, and graduates are eligible to apply for full membership upon completion. Teaching is delivered by senior academic staff, qualified practitioners, and industry guest lecturers.
