MSc Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation

Aimed at qualified healthcare professionals looking to deepen their expertise, the MSc Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation at AECC University College covers advanced clinical assessment, therapeutic intervention, manual therapy, and rehabilitation across specialist domains including neurological conditions, para and disability sport, and cardiac rehabilitation. The curriculum also addresses the psychology of injury, pain, and recovery, muscle injury ultrasound, and mental health, with both core and optional units allowing students to tailor their studies. Assessment methods include dissertations, practical evaluations, blogs, videos, and consultancy reports.

Delivered primarily through face-to-face sessions in Bournemouth — including seminars, workshops, practical laboratory sessions, and placement opportunities — the course runs two days per week during term time, with additional independent study expected. It is available full-time over one year or part-time over two years, with a September start. Students can work toward the full MSc, a Postgraduate Certificate, or individual units.
