Professional Certificate Programme for Sports Agents

Designed for practising and aspiring sports agents as well as broader sports industry professionals, this programme builds a comprehensive understanding of the agent profession across three core themes: regulatory and legal frameworks, contemporary issues in the sports agents industry, and business practices and skills. Eight modules cover areas including transfers, contracts, dispute resolution, representation of minors, integrity issues, and commercial skills, equipping delegates to navigate the regulatory environment and represent clients effectively.

The programme is delivered entirely online through a bespoke e-learning platform, incorporating videos, case studies, and regulatory guidelines, with networking opportunities via the Sports Agents Hub. It is jointly delivered by Loughborough University — ranked number one in the world for sports-related subjects — and Johan Cruyff Institute. On completion, participants earn 25 CPDUK-certified CPD credits, ECTS points, and Johan Cruyff Institute alumni membership. The programme carries endorsement from the Association of Football Agents (AFA) and can be completed within six months.
