Analysing Football Using Video

Aimed at anyone with an interest in video analysis — from amateur analysts to seasoned professionals — this Hudl Statsbomb course covers the fundamentals of video analysis, team and recruitment-based analysis, video as a learning tool, and the integration of advanced data with video for in-depth football analysis. Across its four modules, participants gain practical guidance on best practices and building effective workflows for player recruitment and match breakdown.

The course is delivered entirely online and can be completed at an individual's own pace, with each of the four modules running between 40 and 45 minutes, giving a total duration of roughly three hours. All instruction is led by Carl Carpenter, Head Video Analyst at Houston Dynamo FC and a former Video and Tactical Analyst at StatsBomb. Participants who complete the course receive a Hudl Statsbomb certificate of completion.
