Football Scouting Essentials

Football Scouting Essentials, offered by 360 Scouting, is an introductory course designed for aspiring football scouts with no prior professional experience. It covers the core foundations of scouting, including player evaluation methods, scouting strategies, club organisational structures, team tactics, player positions, and reporting. Participants also receive a practical introduction to Wyscout and complete a hands-on assignment evaluating real footage of Santos winger Robinho Júnior.

The course is delivered entirely online through ten on-demand video lectures, requiring approximately two hours to complete, with an additional scouting assignment taking around 1.5 hours. There are no live sessions, allowing participants to study at their own pace. Upon completion, graduates receive a personalised certificate. The course is taught by Marco van der Heide, a former professional footballer and founder of 360 Scouting, who brings nearly a decade of experience working with professional clubs across multiple levels.
