BSc (Hons) Football Coaching and Performance

Delivered at the University of South Wales's Pontypridd Campus, this three-year full-time (or six-year part-time) undergraduate degree is aimed at aspiring football coaches and performance support professionals. It covers coaching principles, game model development, talent identification, performance analysis, and multidisciplinary team working, preparing graduates for roles across grassroots, academy, and professional football environments. The programme is designed in partnership with the Football Association of Wales, Cardiff City, and Swansea City, providing access to industry placements and real-world experience.

Teaching takes place on campus and is delivered by staff with professional coaching backgrounds and active research expertise. The course is accredited by the Football Association of Wales and offers students the opportunity to earn the UEFA C and B licences at no additional cost. Facilities include the UK's only university full-size indoor 3G pitch, strength and conditioning areas, and professional-standard performance analysis technology.
