BSc (Hons) Sport Rehabilitation and Conditioning

Designed for students passionate about sport and exercise rehabilitation, this accredited three-year, full-time degree at Plymouth Marjon University equips graduates to design and deliver expert rehabilitation programmes for a wide range of patients, from recreational athletes to professional sports performers. The curriculum progresses from foundational anatomy, physiology and soft tissue techniques in year one through musculoskeletal assessment and therapeutic technologies in year two, to advanced clinical reasoning and injury prevention in year three. Students also gain experience working with special population groups in community health settings.

Delivered on campus in Plymouth, the course provides a minimum of 400 supervised clinical hours across an on-site Sport Rehabilitation Clinic, NHS clinics, and external placements with professional organisations such as Plymouth Argyle FC and Plymouth Albion. Students have the opportunity to gain several additional qualifications at no extra cost, including the Level 2 RFU Immediate Care in Sport, Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer awards. The programme is accredited by the Sports Therapy Organisation and the British Association of Sport Rehabilitation and Athletic Trainers.
