CIESAbout This Course
The FIFA Master — formally the International Master in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport — is a postgraduate programme designed for graduates seeking leadership roles within the global sports industry. Organised by CIES, it covers three interconnected disciplines: sport management, sports law, and the humanities of sport. Each cohort of approximately 30 postgraduates, drawn from around 25 nationalities, completes the programme through classroom study and a supervised final group research project presented to an academic and industry audience. Alumni have gone on to work at organisations including FIFA, UEFA, the IOC, and major clubs and agencies.
The programme is delivered full-time over one year across three classroom locations in England, Italy, and Switzerland. Teaching is provided jointly by De Montfort University (Leicester), SDA Bocconi School of Management (Milan), and the University of Neuchâtel, with contributions from leading guest lecturers across world sport. Graduates earn a Master of Arts (MA) fully validated by De Montfort University and the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA). The course has been ranked the number-one sport management programme in Europe by Sport Business Global Rankings thirteen times, most recently in 2025.
