Sport Journalism MA (PGCert PGDip)

The Sport Journalism MA is a postgraduate programme designed to prepare students for careers in sports reporting and media across print, broadcast, and digital platforms. Students develop core journalism skills — interviewing, news writing, feature writing, and multimedia production — alongside specialist modules in sports reporting, media law and ethics, and the business of sports media. The programme is aimed at graduates with a journalism, media, sport, or humanities background who want to move into sports writing, broadcasting, or digital sports publishing.

Delivered on campus at the University of Brighton's Eastbourne site, the MA runs over one year full-time with part-time options available. The programme can be taken as a full MA or exited with a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) or Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip), and combines classroom teaching with practical newsroom-style assignments.
