Sports and Exercise Therapy BSc (Hons)

Coventry University's Sports and Exercise Therapy BSc (Hons) prepares students to work as independent sports therapy practitioners across healthcare, sport and private practice. The programme covers anatomy, biomechanics, clinical assessment, therapeutic interventions, exercise rehabilitation and emergency care, and is designed for those seeking to work with a broad client base ranging from recreational participants to elite athletes. Students gain hands-on experience through an on-campus sports therapy clinic and have previously supported events such as the World Transplant Games and worked with clubs including Coventry City Football Club.

The course is delivered on campus at Coventry University and is available as a three-year full-time or four-year sandwich programme, with the sandwich route incorporating a placement year of at least 26 weeks. Successful completion leads to a BSc (Hons) degree. The university holds a Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) 2023 and five QS Stars for Teaching and Facilities. Teaching is delivered by lecturers with experience working alongside international and national athletes and in private practice.
