Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation BSc (Hons)

Teesside University's Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation BSc (Hons) prepares students to assess, treat, manage and prevent musculoskeletal injuries across sporting and clinical environments. The programme develops practical competencies in sports massage, manual diagnostic testing, biomechanical screening, land and pool-based rehabilitation, and trauma care, alongside academic research and statistical skills. The degree is delivered on campus in Middlesbrough using a blend of lectures, seminars, workshops, laboratory sessions and problem-based learning, and runs for three years full-time. The course is accredited by the British Association of Sports Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT), with membership offering the ability to practise in both the United Kingdom and the United States. Additional vocational certified awards, including pre-hospital trauma and gym-based instruction, may also be completed during study.
