BA (Hons) Sports Media

Delivered at the University of Chichester's Bognor Regis Campus, the BA (Hons) Sports Media degree offers a broad grounding in contemporary sports coverage, combining practical skills with contextual theory. The programme covers sports journalism, camera and audio operations, video editing and production, commentary, presenting, social media management, and graphics. It is aimed at students seeking a career across the sports media industry and includes hands-on work with local clubs such as Chichester City FC, as well as commissioned projects for external clients. Previous student work has been broadcast by the BBC and BT Sport.

The degree is delivered full-time on campus over three years and is taught by industry-experienced lecturers supported by professional guest speakers, including former Match of the Day commentator Steve Wilson and BBC correspondent Mike Costello. Students benefit from partnerships with companies such as ARRI and AVID, and gain access to industry-standard software and equipment.
