BSc Football Coaching and Performance

Designed for students who have already completed a Foundation Degree or 240 credits in a related discipline, this Level 6 top-up programme covers football coaching, football analysis, and strength and conditioning, alongside transferable skills such as advanced research, critical thinking, and autonomous learning. A work-based learning element provides practical industry experience, with placements linked to elite clubs including Swansea City FC and Llanelli Town AFC, as well as local schools and national governing body development officers.

The programme is delivered on a classroom basis at the UWTSD Carmarthen campus by Coleg Sir Gâr, taking one year full time or two years part time. Students are enrolled with both Coleg Sir Gâr and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, and upon completion are awarded a BSc in Football Coaching and Performance validated by UWTSD. Assessment combines assignments, case studies, logbooks, and practical skills assessments.
