BSc (Hons) Sport Therapy & Rehabilitation

Designed for aspiring sport therapy professionals, this BSc (Hons) at the University of Derby equips students with the knowledge and practical skills to assess, treat, and rehabilitate injuries across recreational, training, and competitive settings. The curriculum combines lectures, laboratory sessions, seminars, and clinical work, with students completing 250 hours of clinical placement in their final year. Placement partners have included Derby County Football Club and Burton Albion Football Club, alongside national sporting events such as the London Marathon.

Delivered on campus in Derby, the course is accredited by The Society of Sports Therapists, making graduates eligible to apply for full professional membership upon completion. Teaching is provided by a team that includes both sports therapists and physiotherapists. The degree typically takes three years full-time, with an optional additional placement year available. Students may also pursue supplementary discounted qualifications during their studies, such as Sports Massage Level 3 and Kinesio Taping.
