Street soccer, a guide to using small sided games

Aimed at parent and volunteer coaches, young professional coaches, high school coaches, and club directors, this introductory course explores the principles and practice of small-sided games (SSGs) in youth soccer. Across seven sections — covering the coach's role, playing with elements, phases of learning, festivals and tournaments, reading the game, session building, and basic game templates — participants learn how to design, implement, and adjust their own SSGs to create more effective and enjoyable training environments.

Delivered entirely online through Udemy, the course runs just over one hour and is structured across nine lectures with clear graphics, short supplementary video files, and a 186-page workbook. No formal qualification is awarded, but the content builds on the internationally recognised Better Soccer More Fun website and the Street Soccer DVD, with methods acknowledged by international coaching associations.
