Asking Performance Questions in Football

Aimed at those with a basic grounding in performance analysis who want to deepen their practical understanding, this introductory module draws on the expertise of analysts from the Premier League, Championship, and Women's Super League to explore how professionals frame and investigate performance questions. Topics include analysing ball progression in midfield, improving a team's pressing, working with data and video tools, collaborating with sports scientists, and reporting analytical insights to colleagues.

Delivered entirely online and completable within a day, the module is self-paced and accessible via a browser on laptop or PC. It forms the second part of AnalyiSport's Level 1 Foundation in Performance Analysis qualification and can also be taken as a standalone course. The content is CPD accredited, and participants receive a certificate of completion. The module was developed by AnalyiSport's content team in close collaboration with experienced football analysts.
