Foundation in Performance Analysis in Football

Aimed at anyone curious about or considering a career in performance analysis, this introductory course covers the core skills and knowledge required to work as a performance analyst in professional football. Topics span what analysts do on a day-to-day basis, how data and video technology support coaching, opposition analysis, ball progression in midfield, pressing, and how to present findings to coaches. Interactive exercises throughout draw on real examples from top-flight clubs, and the course concludes with a Premier League analysis case study.

Delivered entirely online and self-paced, the course is completed in the learner's browser across three modules, each ending with an assessment. Passing all three earns three CPD points and a certificate of completion, and the course forms part of a Level 1 qualification. Content was developed by AnalyiSport in collaboration with an expert group of performance analysts holding experience across the Premier League, Women's Super League, Championship, La Liga, and Serie B.
