BSc (Hons) Sport & Exercise Therapy

Solent University's BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Therapy is a three-year undergraduate degree designed for those seeking a career working with athletes, sports teams, and the broader population with musculoskeletal needs. The programme covers clinical assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, exercise interventions, anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and sports trauma management, with employability embedded at every stage through placements at professional sports clubs, NHS settings, military environments, and sporting events.

Delivered on campus at Southampton City Centre, the course is accredited by the Society of Sports Therapists (SST) and recognised by CIMSPA, with modules mapped to industry-recognised fitness qualifications. Students also have the opportunity to gain FA trauma course credentials. The programme is taught by an experienced academic team with backgrounds in clinical practice and research, and is available with an optional foundation year or a placement year, extending the duration to up to five years.
