About This Course
Designed for coaches working across youth and elite levels, this Soccer Hub course focuses on how to structure a weekly training microcycle to prepare a team for competitive match performance. It covers developing a game plan in line with team principles and opponent analysis, and addresses how to manage physiological demands across training sessions — accounting for the number of matches per week and the need to keep players physically fresh. The curriculum spans game principles including offensive and defensive organisation, set pieces, and training control.
The course is delivered entirely online, comprising 16 lessons across five sections, and is self-paced with unlimited access. It is created and taught by Gabriel Silva, a coach with professional experience at Al Fayha, Boavista FC, and CD Aves, and a former Elite Soccer Periodization PhD student at the University of Porto. The course includes assessments and is available through the Soccer Hub app.
