Pre-Season Periodization in Soccer

Designed for coaches seeking to modernise their approach to pre-season planning, this intermediate-level course explores the principles and practical application of periodization in soccer. Delivered by UEFA Pro coach João Tralhão, it examines classical and tactical periodization, game models, training philosophy, small-sided games, and weekly and pre-season planning frameworks, encouraging coaches to reflect on and refine their own methodologies.

The course is delivered entirely online through Soccer Hub and comprises 15 lessons across seven sections, with a total runtime accessible in under a day. It is taught in English and includes assessments. The instructor, João Tralhão, holds a degree in Sports and Education Sciences and brings experience from SL Benfica and AS Monaco FC, where he served as assistant coach to Thierry Henry during the 2018–19 season.
