Throw-In Zones and Tactics Training

Throw-In Zones and Tactics Training examines the tactical side of throw-ins, dividing the pitch into zones and working through the patterns, movements, and decisions appropriate to each. Participants study how throw-in strategy shifts between defensive, midfield, and attacking thirds, how team shape should be organised around the throw-in taker, and how to build set routines that unlock space and numerical advantages against a set opposition. It is aimed at coaches looking to move beyond throw-in technique into the team-tactical dimension of the restart.

Delivered online through Throw-In Academy's platform on a self-paced basis over around a week, the course is led by Danish throw-in specialist Thomas Gronnemark, whose methodology has been applied at Liverpool FC and other professional clubs. It suits coaches at youth, semi-professional, and professional levels who want to treat throw-ins as a structured tactical asset.
