UEFA Diploma in Football Leadership and Management (UEFA DFLM)

Designed for high-performing managers overseeing complex projects in sports organisations — including national associations, clubs, leagues and related businesses — the UEFA Diploma in Football Leadership and Management (UEFA DFLM) develops both the soft and hard skills required for influential leadership roles. The programme focuses on strategic project development, negotiation, presentation and leadership, with participants working closely with an experienced coach to design and implement a project of real strategic value to their own organisation.

The 10-month blended programme runs across four online modules and three face-to-face seminars held in Nyon, Lausanne and the Swiss Alps, with an estimated 500 hours of learning. It is delivered by UEFA Academy in partnership with IDHEAP, University of Lausanne. Successful graduates earn either a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in Football Leadership and Management carrying 30 ECTS credits — available to previous UEFA CFM graduates — or a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Football Leadership worth 10 ECTS credits. The next intake begins in December 2026.
