UEFA Elite Scout Programme

Designed for current and aspiring football scouts, coaches, and former professional players, the UEFA Elite Scout Programme (UEFA ESP) provides a comprehensive grounding in modern scouting practice. The three-month programme covers talent identification, match observation and reporting, player valuation, transfer regulations, data management, and emerging technologies including scouting applications and artificial intelligence. Candidates must have at least two years of experience in the football industry and demonstrate fluency in English; intake is limited to 35 participants per edition.

The programme follows a blended format, combining three face-to-face seminars held at European club facilities and UEFA headquarters with two online masterclasses, totalling approximately 100 hours of learning. Seminars for the upcoming edition take place in London, Lisbon, and Nyon between October and December 2025. Participants who complete the programme receive a certificate of completion. The course is delivered by UEFA Academy in partnership with international scouting experts, sporting directors, and industry practitioners, and is directed by Leslie Reed, Founder and CEO of Reed Consulting Elite Sports Advisory.
