Working with Wearables in Football

Aimed at early-career performance analysts, sports science students, and anyone preparing for a first role or placement in football, this intermediate-level module examines how wearable technology is used within the game. It covers the main device types — including GPS vests, smart belts, and foot-mounted sensors — alongside best practice for selecting, purchasing, managing, and interpreting data from these tools. Some prior familiarity with performance analysis is assumed, as the module builds on foundational knowledge rather than introducing the discipline from scratch.

Delivered entirely online through AnalyiSport's browser-based platform, the course comprises approximately 90 minutes of interactive training material and can be completed at the learner's own pace. It carries CPD accreditation and awards a certificate of completion. The content was developed in collaboration with an experienced MLS analyst who has a background in delivering wearable technology solutions to clubs and football associations.
