Differential Learning System: Certification (Level 1)

Designed for football coaches at all levels who want to enhance the quality of their training sessions, this Level 1 certification course introduces the Differential Learning System (DLS) and contrasts it with traditional, repetition-based training methods. Across 24 lessons organised into 12 sections, participants explore the theoretical foundations of differential learning — including neurophysiology, biomechanics, and motor learning — and learn how to apply the methodology practically within a football coaching context.

The course is delivered entirely online through Soccer Hub and runs for approximately three hours, making it completable in a single day. It was created and is taught by Prof. Dr. Wolfgang I. Schöllhorn, the originator of the Differential Learning System and a professor of training and movement science at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. Participants who finish the course receive a Level 1 Differential Learning System certificate.
