First Team Scouting

Designed for aspiring and practising scouts looking to deepen their understanding of first-team player evaluation, this intermediate workshop from the International Professional Scouting Organisation focuses on detailed player analysis at the senior level. It explores the distinctions between first-team and academy scouting, examines the analytical processes clubs and associations use when assessing players, and covers player reporting, observation, and the terminology required for professional assessments. No prerequisites are required.

The workshop runs online via Zoom in an interactive, Q&A format, lasting approximately 90 minutes to two hours. It is delivered by one of IPSO's experienced scouts or analysts — drawn from a tutor pool that includes Premier League, international, and professional club practitioners. Participants earn two CPD credits, accredited by the CPD Group, and receive a certificate of completion. The session runs every six weeks, with flexible scheduling available.
