Goalkeeper Analysis

Designed for scouts and analysts seeking to deepen their understanding of a specialist position, this intermediate-level workshop from the International Professional Scouting Organisation focuses on in-depth goalkeeper analysis. Participants examine a goalkeeper across three developmental stages — at approximately 13, 18, and 28 years of age — exploring the distinct attributes, skill sets, and scouting templates relevant to each. The session covers goalkeeper-specific reporting, characteristics, and the mechanics of the role, and is suited to serious scouts looking to strengthen their knowledge in this area.

The workshop is delivered entirely online via Zoom and runs for approximately one and a half to two hours, followed by a Q&A session. It is led by Tony Caig, a goalkeeper specialist and scout with a 20-year playing career and 30 years of experience working across professional clubs in England, the USA, and Canada, alongside IPSO's regular scouting professionals. The workshop is CPD accredited, and participants receive a certificate of completion. It forms part of IPSO's wider Level 2 workshop series.
