Introduction to the Recruitment Analysis Process in Football

Aimed at those looking to enter or develop within the field of data-based player recruitment, this intermediate-level module covers the five key stages of the recruitment analysis process. Learners explore what an analyst does at each stage — from defining a club's player requirements through to finding and recommending talent — while examining the software tools available, the challenges analysts face, and how to communicate the value of data-driven recruitment to colleagues. A final interactive exercise involves advocating for data processes with an experienced scout.

The course is delivered entirely online and comprises approximately two hours of content, accessible at learners' own pace across multiple devices via a web browser. It is CPD accredited, and a certificate is available to download on completion. The module also forms the first part of AnalyiSport's Level 2 Recruitment Process qualification. Content was developed in collaboration with recruitment analysts who hold experience in the Premier League and the Championship, working alongside AnalyiSport's digital learning content team.
