Level 4 First Team Scouting

Designed for scouts, analysts, coaches, managers, technical directors, and agents, the Level 4 First Team Scouting course from the International Professional Scouting Organisation (IPSO) focuses on talent identification and player recruitment at the first-team level. Using interactive classes, practical workshops, case studies, and role-play, it covers player observation, position-specific scouting, statistical analysis, understanding team shapes, and detailed player report writing. There are no prerequisites, making it accessible to both working professionals and those aspiring to enter first-team recruitment.

The course is delivered live online via Zoom over four evenings of four hours each, running every six weeks. It is tutor-led by a panel of experienced Premier League and international scouts and analysts. Participants who pass a written player report assessment earn a certificate accredited by the CPD Group and endorsed by YMCA Awards, several national football federations, and UCFB University. The course also carries 16 CPD credits.
