Aimed at aspiring performance analysts, coaches, and players, this introductory module explores how professional analysts prepare teams for upcoming fixtures by studying opposition strengths and weaknesses. Topics include using data and video to examine opponent systems, identifying key threats, understanding the tools available at different levels of the game, and best practice for presenting findings to coaches. The module concludes with an interactive exercise based on real analysis conducted by a La Liga professional.

Delivered entirely online at the learner's own pace, the course is self-contained and browser-based, requiring no additional materials. It is CPD accredited and awards a certificate of completion, and also forms the final part of AnalyiSport's Level 1 Foundation in Performance Analysis qualification. The content was developed by AnalyiSport's award-winning team in collaboration with performance analysts holding experience across the Premier League, Women's Super League, Championship, La Liga, and Serie B.
