Player Welfare in Open Age Football

Designed for coaches, club welfare officers and committee members working in open age football (teams with players aged 16 and over), this FA course builds understanding of player welfare across a broad range of topics. These include creating safe physical and digital environments, fostering positive club culture, medical and first aid responsibilities, safeguarding for both adults and under-18s, mental health awareness, and how to report welfare concerns.

Delivered entirely online by The FA through its England Football Learning platform, the course takes approximately one hour to complete and is free to access. It is structured across eight short modules and requires a FAN ID to enrol. No formal qualification is stated, though a record of achievement is logged to the learner's FA account upon completion.
