About This Course
Designed for anyone involved in football with young people, the FA's Safeguarding Children Course provides an introductory grounding in best practice for keeping children safe in the game. It covers how to recognise and respond to poor practice and abuse, understand safeguarding responsibilities, create safe environments, and record and report concerns effectively. The course is open to learners aged 16 and over.
Delivered entirely online by The FA through its My Learning platform, the course takes approximately two hours to complete and is structured across ten sections combining learning modules, activities, and assessments. Upon passing, learners receive an FA Safeguarding Children qualification and certificate, valid for two years, which appears on their FAN account. Recertification is available free of charge by retaking the course.
