UEFA B Diploma

Aimed at coaches working in, or aspiring to work in, boys' and girls' professional academy environments, as well as those operating in the National League system (Steps 1–6 in the male game, Tiers 3 and 4 in the female game), the UEFA B Diploma develops the skills needed to design game-like practices and meet players' technical, tactical, physical, psychological and social needs. Applicants must hold the UEFA C qualification (or FA Level 2 equivalent), have at least 12 months' post-UEFA C coaching experience, and be actively coaching a team in a season-long competition in England.

Delivered by England Football Learning (The FA) through a blended format, the course combines e-learning, face-to-face practical days, and one-to-one online discussions with a coach developer. It runs over nine to twelve months and is structured across four modules: Developing a Game Model, Coaching Approach, Individual Tactics, and Consolidation and Assessment. Successful candidates earn the UEFA B Diploma, a widely recognised coaching credential within European football.
