UEFA SLO Education Programme

Developed in partnership with Football Supporters Europe (FSE), the UEFA SLO Education Programme equips Supporter Liaison Officers working in clubs and national associations with the knowledge, skills and tools needed to succeed in their role. The programme covers the SLO environment, communication with stakeholders, working with fans, and SLO soft skills. It is structured around a mandatory first day, with national associations able to select between one and three additional theme days depending on local needs. Participants are selected through their national association, with cohorts of 12 to 24 people recommended to keep sessions interactive.

The programme is delivered face-to-face throughout Europe, running over four days — either as a single workshop or split across two shorter sessions, offering flexibility for part-time SLOs. It involves approximately 30 hours of learning and is typically delivered in the local language. Participants who complete the programme receive a certificate of completion. The course is delivered by UEFA Academy and co-funded by UEFA, FSE, and the host national association, with several intakes running each year.
