Advanced Principles of Talent Idenfication

Designed for full-time scouts and talent identification professionals with management responsibilities, this FA course builds on the National Talent Identification & Scouting in Football programme to develop sophisticated scouting strategies and evidence-based player recruitment decisions. It is aimed specifically at heads of recruitment and senior scouting staff working within professional clubs, and requires applicants to already hold a relevant role alongside prior completion of the National Talent Identification course and a Safeguarding Children qualification.

Delivered face-to-face across various locations, the course runs over ten months and comprises six two-day taught modules, supplemented by five group days for additional learning support. Independent study and practical application between blocks are built into the structure. The programme is delivered by industry experts through The FA's England Football Learning platform and is designed to strengthen employability and career progression within professional football's talent identification and recruitment departments.
