Level 1 Opposition Analysis in Football

Aimed at independent opposition analysts, this introductory course covers best practices in both opposition and individual analysis within professional football. Developed by a full-time first-team opposition analyst from one of Europe's leading clubs, it is designed to provide practical insight into industry-standard methods and reporting, with the PFSA's own scouting network — the UK's largest independent team of football scouts — informing much of its content and structure.

The course is delivered entirely online and is self-paced, taking approximately three to four hours to complete. It is provided by the Professional Football Scouts Association (PFSA), and its design reflects the reporting standards expected by PFSA member clubs. The course sits at Level 1, making it an accessible entry point for those looking to develop a foundation in opposition analysis.
