Opposition Analysis

Designed for scouts, analysts, coaches, agents, technical directors, and anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of team assessment, the International Professional Scouting Organisation's Level 5 Opposition Analysis course focuses on creating detailed, professional opposition reports. Participants learn to analyse all eleven players simultaneously at speed, assess attacking and defensive units, and evaluate set-pieces, with the goal of producing reports to the standard expected by a chief scout or head of analysis at a professional club. No prior qualifications are required to enrol.

The course is delivered entirely online via Zoom across four live, tutor-led sessions of four hours each, totalling sixteen hours of instruction. Tutors include Premier League scouts and former international footballers with decades of combined experience. Participants sit an exam requiring them to produce an opposition report to an assessed standard; those who pass earn an IPSO Level 5 certificate that carries worldwide endorsement from the CPD Group and receives 16 CPD credits. Classroom delivery is also available on separate dates.
